![]() ![]() OpaqueResponseBlocking is now enabled by default. 10 new CSS math functions are now supported: round, mod, rem, pow, sqrt, hypot, log, exp, abs, sign. You can find information about policy updates and enterprise specific in the Firefox for Enterprise 118 Release Notes. Video Effects and background blur are now available to Firefox users on Google Meet! (Note: These effects have also been released retroactively to support Firefox versions back to Firefox 115.), Firefox Suggest users (US-only at this time) will now be able to see browser add-on suggestions right in the address bar based on their keywords. The visibility of fonts to websites has been restricted to system fonts and language pack fonts to mitigate font fingerprinting in Private Browsing windows. But that doesn't help because I don't control where that is.Automated translation of web content is now available to Firefox users! Unlike cloud-based alternatives, translation is done locally in Firefox, so that the text being translated does not leave your machine. It is possible that the odd /run/user directory is just the current directory for Firefox when I run it from the Gnome shell. My question is: Why is this, why is the initial image directory different from the regular download directory, and can I change / configure this? So if I want to download many images from the same page, I have to navigate to my desired destination directory every time  To be sure, I can change the directory in the Save dialog, but Firefox doesn't remember my selection, at least on Linux (it does on Mac, probably because it uses some precooked code from the Mac UI). the file download directory is ~/Downloads - which I believe is the "factory default" - but Firefox offers to save images somewhere like /run/user/1000/doc/deadbeef. However, this does not seem to apply to images I want to download by right-clicking them in an already rendered webpage. ![]() ![]() Firefox has the prominent configurable option where to save files when I select the "Save Link As" action. ![]()
